SO CAL THUNDER STRUCK PARK CITY, UTAH AT 2013 TRIPLE CROWN SPORTS WORLD SERIES

SO CAL THUNDER, La Crescenta 16U softball travel team, competed in the Triple Crown Sports World Series (TCS) in Park City, Utah, on July 15 – July 20, 2013.  With triple digits temperature, 90% humidity, So Cal Thunder immediately earned a spot in the Gold bracket and rolled teams from Utah, Colorado and Idaho into Silver and Bronze brackets.  After a weeklong of softball and out of 64 teams, So Cal Thunder finished in 17th place.  Another major accomplished for this small community team.  Chloe Fairbrother, Sydnee Wells, Karina Moreno, Elizabeth Blackwell, Jessica Shumate and Jessica Diaz participated in the TCS College Showcase games coached by college coaches from various states.  Sydnee Wells also received a personal invitation from her college showcase coach to participate in the TCS All American College Showcase.  ATHLETES: Vanessa Alegria, Elizabeth Blackwell, Tiffany Briscoe, Jessica Diaz, Chloe Fairbrother, Karina Moreno, Ginnes Paladini, Baylee Renfro, Maddie Roberts, Jessica Shumate and Sydnee Wells (Sarah Wells – bat girl).  COACHES: Shon Wells, Dave Fox and Dennis Saboe.  (Effective July 22, 2013, So Cal Thunder is now an 18U softball travel team and is searching for several experienced softball athletes.  Please visit www.eteamz.com/socalthunder2 for more information.)
