Meeting of The Historical Society of the Crescenta Valley

There is a dark side to the Crescenta Valley that its local Chamber of Commerce won't tell you about - a history of murders, suicides and tragedies stretching back into the 1800's. Author Gary Keyes will tell a few choice stories from his book "Murder and Mayhem in the Crescenta Valley" - such as wealthy Beulah Overell who murdered her parents for her inheritance, "Rattlesnake" James who attempted to kill his wife with black widows and rattlesnakes, and child psycho-killer "Red" Jensen who tortured and murdered his playmate. Monday Nov. 18th, 7PM at the La Crescenta Center for Spiritual Living, at the intersection of Dunsmore and Santa Carlotta in La Crescenta.
