Information Packets available for Clark Magnet High School

Advance registration is needed for science & technology magnet high school.

Clark Magnet High School offers students in Grades 9-12 a curriculum that emphasizes science and technology. The program is open to students who currently attend a Glendale Unified School District (GUSD) school or who reside in the GUSD attendance area and attend a private, parochial, or non-GUSD public school.

Approximately 300 applicants will be accepted into the upcoming 9th grade class. If the number of qualified students who apply exceeds the number of openings available, a lottery will be conducted to determine which applicants are selected. Students entering Grades 10-12 may apply; however, few if any openings in these grade levels are anticipated, and students will be placed on a waiting list. Total school enrollment is limited to about 1,100 students.

Information Packets for interested students are currently available at the office (4747 New York Avenue, La Crescenta), the district’s four middle schools (Roosevelt, , Toll, Wilson), and the office of Student Support Services at the GUSD Administration Center (223 North Jackson Street, Glendale).

Student residents who do not attend a GUSD school must return the completed Student Profile to the office of Student Support Services.

The deadline to submit an Application is Friday, March 2, 2012, at 5 p.m. Please be aware that late applications will NOT be considered. Applications are to be turned-in to the office of Student Support Services ONLY.

I can well empathsize with your loss. First thing, can you remember taking it off anywhere? DidRead More you wash your hands anywhere, soap makes fingers slippery. Did it fit well or was it a little loose? Running makes the arms swing. Strange as it may seem, it may still be in or on your own property. There are still honest people, call the desk of every business you went to. Also, call every pawn shop in your area and report. Good luck. If its any comfort, I found a diamond studded tie tack when I gazed at the soil in my garden and saw it. Keep us posted. b

I feel bad that teachers are having to pull money out of their own pockets, I wonder whateverRead More happened to the lottery money that was supposed to go to schools? I am a volunteer for an organization that offers free drug education kits to any teacher with booklets on the various harmful drugs . Educators play a vital role for our children and in society and should be supported in any way possible. Any who might be interested, e-mail me at tbadger2000@yahoo.com.
