Poll: Should Montrose or La Crescenta Have a Community Garden?

Glendale now has a third community garden. Would you like to see a site in Montrose or La Crescenta? Take our poll. Tell us where you would grow tomatoes or lettuce if you had the chance.

Glendale Neighborhood Council Commission helped launch a third community garden in August, The Glendale News-Press reported. 

There have been several requests from Montrose residents for a community garden, said Alek Bartrosouf, chairman of the group's steering committee, in an email with Patch. 

Do you think this is something Montrose or La Crescenta could use? If so, where would you want to see fresh fruits, herbs or vegetables growing?

Ascencia, a Glendale nonprofit that works to end homelessness, has also suggested via its Facebook page that community gardens could help support local organizations. What do you think?
