People lined the streets, some waiting since the afternoon, for a perfect look at the parade.

Children, parents and grandparents all waited patiently for a very important, jolly guest, who traditionally kicks of the Montrose Christmas Parade each year.

Suddenly, Santa swooped around Montrose in the sky above, wishing everyone a Merry Christmas from a Glendale Police Department heliocopter.

Locals sipped on hot chocolate and treats from Montrose merchants.

Dignitaries, including U.S. Congressman Adam Schiff, Glendale City Council and Crescenta Valley Town Council, waved to the crowd.

Montrose Patch covered the event live, as it also streamed live, internationally through International Christian Family Network on the Montrose Christmas Parade website. Charter Cable channel 382 will continue airing the parade in the Los Angeles area during the holidays.

I think that's Orangedale & Honolulu. I see Wells Fargo, Montrose Pet Hospital & Trader Joe's. Sunset is one block West.
