Montrose's Rocky Cola Cafe Will Close This Month

The nostalgic 1950s themed diner will end operations on Dec. 30.

Vintage-style diner and soda fountain Rocky Cola Cafe will close at the end of December due to a challenging economy, a manager told Patch.

The restaurant opened in 1987 at the corner of Verdugo Road and Honolulu Avenue and is best known for its cheeseburgers and milkshakes.

Former President President Bill Clinton had lunch at the eatery in 1996.
