The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Crescenta Valley Station reported three vehicle vandalism incidents and one vehicle burglary this week.

A victim reported a 2007 Hyundai Genesis was burglarized in the 2700 block of Timberlake Street between 9 p.m. on Jan. 22 and 2 p.m. on Jan. 23. The victim returned to the car and noted that the front passenger door was open and several items were missing from the center console and glove box. Stolen items include vehicle registration papers, bank checkbook, Armani sunglasses and eyeglasses, a toolbox and a key chain with house keys. The value of the stolen items is estimated about $1,520. It is possible the suspect entered through the opened sun roof of the vehicle, sheriff's deputies reported.

A victim reported that a 2001 Honda Accord was vandalized on the 3900 block of Orangedale Avenue in Montrose between 6 p.m. on Jan. 21 and 1:45 p.m. on Jan. 22. According to the report, the suspect used a black marker to make several lines on the vehicle’s trunk.

A woman reported that a 2006 Toyota Rav4 was vandalized on the 2200 block of Mira Vista Street in Montrose between 1:50 p.m. and 2:20 p.m. on Jan. 18. The victim returned to her vehicle and saw that the rear passenger window was smashed, the rear passenger door was scratched and the front passenger door was dented. It is possible a rock was used to smash the window, sheriff's officials said. No witnesses were reported.

A victim reported that a 2012 Volkswagen Jetta was vandalized on the 2400 block of Olive Avenue in La Crescenta between 9 p.m. on Jan. 15 and 10:30 a.m. on Jan. 16. According to the report, the victim returned to the vehicle and found the rear passenger window smashed. No items were reported missing.
