An electrical fire that appeared to start from a vehicle burned a portion of a carport early Saturday.
The vehicle ignited near a home on Kemper Avenue east of Briggs Avenue. An adjacent horse trailer burned, as did a portion of a garage, but the latter experienced damage to the exterior only, according to the Crescenta Valley Weekly.
Authorities received a call at 6:15 a.m. Neighbors were awoken by the sound of "explosions" at the home. Some neighbors attempted to fight the fire with garden hoses while authorities were en route.
One male resident of the home was evacuated, authorities said.
